Helen Migues

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Helen “Winnie” Boutte Migues, 100, on Friday, October 28, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. William Blanda officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 28, 2016, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

A native of Jefferson Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Migues passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at 12:40 AM in a New Iberia hospital.

She was the owner and operator of a grocery store in New Iberia with her late husband. Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family and cooking for them.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Joni Romero and her husband Guy of Sugar Land, TX, Bobby Migues and his wife Robin, Lonny Migues and his wife Karla all of Baton Rouge, James Migues and Charles Migues and his wife Tita both of Miami, FL; twelve great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oleus Boutte and Edna Sonnier Boutte; her husband, Lionel Joseph “Belaute” Migues; her sons, Chester Migues and Lester “Bobby” Migues and her brothers, Edvire Boutte and Raymond Boutte.

Pallbearers will be James, Charles, Lonny, Bobby and Joseph Migues and Regan Wilson.
