Lafayette - Funeral services for Eldes "Pit" C. Broussard, Jr., 64, will be held on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 8:00PM in David Funeral Home Chapel,   Pastor Dale Hoffpauir officiating.

Visitation will be held on Thursday November 10, 2016 at David Funeral Home from 5:00PM until 9:00PM.

A native and resident of Youngsville, Mr. Eldes died at 11:20PM on Monday, November 7, 2016 at his residence.  He was employed at Elk Concrete for over 40 years before retiring; a Harley Davidson enthusiast; enjoyed hot rods; and showing his pets attention. He also loved riding to the Florida coast for Daytona Bike Week. Those that knew him best, knew him as a jack of all trades.

Eldes is survived by his wife of 45 years, Dianne Tabb Broussard of Youngsville; two sons, Eldes C. Broussard III and his wife Ericka of Youngsville, Tony Broussard of Youngsville ; two brothers, Paul J. Broussard of Broussard, Harold C. Broussard of Abbeville; four sisters, Mildred Seaux of Lafayette, Mary Mouton of Lafayette, Gail Hayes of Broussard, Barbara Romero of Youngsville; and five grandchildren, Gracie Broussard, Christian Broussard, Ava Grace Broussard, Vivian Nguyen, Ty Anthony Broussard and his girlfriend Morgan A. Foreman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldes C. Broussard, Sr. and Maveline Romero Broussard; a son, Jake Michaels Broussard; and four brothers, Dallas Broussard, Sr., Carroll Broussard, Ellis Wayne Broussard, Sr., and Darrel C. Broussard.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Greg Debaillon and Ty Anthony Broussard.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Bridgeway Hospice, Pastor Stephanie,  Ms. Emily, Ms. Sarah and Ms. Sheila for their loving care of Eldes during his illness, and also to his family for their love and support.
