Carolyn Bacon

Jeanerette – Funeral services will be conducted for Carolyn Dow Bacon, 85, on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 2:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and the Rosary Group will pray the rosary at 11:00 AM.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Bacon passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016, at 10:53 AM at Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette.

She liked going to the casino, sitting on her front porch visiting with people and especially loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth Faucheaux and her husband Brian, Tessie Landry and her husband Todd all of Jeanerette, Jolyn Bacon of Hammond, Joanne Loewen and her husband Chris of Morgan City and Adele Masters of Denham Springs; her sons, Ron Bacon and his wife Leslie of Jeanerette, John Bacon, Jr. and his wife Patricia of New Iberia and Eddie Bacon and his wife Marlene of Osyka, Miss.; her sisters, Elaine Zimmerman and her husband Ziggy of Charenton and Dolly Trahan and her husband Bobby of Port Neches, TX; her grandchildren, Abbey Landry, Rhett Faucheaux, Ryan Faucheaux, Alix Bacon, Thomas Bacon, Lauren Bacon, Morgan Bacon, Jason Loewen, Tiffany Loewen, Rachel Masters and Sheri Conell and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Bacon; her parents, Carroll Dow and Louise Kelly Dow and her sister, Carol Dow Frentz.

Pallbearers will be Ron Bacon, John Bacon, Eddie Bacon, Brian Faucheaux, Todd Landry, Chris Loewen and Ziggy Zimmerman.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rhett Faucheaux, Ryan Faucheaux, Thomas Bacon, Jason Loewen and Grant Zimmerman.

The family would like to thank her caregiver and friend Cyd Duhon.
