New Iberia- Funeral services will be held for Amy Nichole Hebert Buteaux, age 38, on Monday November 21, 2016 at 1:00pm at the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Keith Landry to service as the Celebrant. Readers will be Jill Gary and Monique Lewin. Interment will follow at Beau Pre Cemetery.
Visitation will begin on Sunday November 20, 2016 at 10:00am until 10:00pm with a recitation of the Rosary by the Men’s Rosary Group at 7:00pm. Visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00am until funeral time.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Amy passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 3:05pm at her residents surrounded by her loving family. She was a stay at home mom and loved spending time with her children bringing them to do things and to go shopping. Every week she looked forward to date night with her husband, Max. Her mother and sister would always take her out for a lunch date every week and she loved the times that they shared together. But most of all, Amy loved music. She enjoyed dancing and loved how music always set her mind free.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Max Bruno Buteaux of New Iberia; children, Zoey, Chloe, and Mason Buteaux; father, Kim Michael Hebert Sr. and wife Winona of Loreauville; mother, Linda Joyce Gary Hebert of New Iberia; grandmother, Vivian Gary of Coteau; siblings, April Hebert Rivet and husband Brock of Abbeville, Kim Hebert Jr. and wife Amanda of New Iberia; step-siblings, Grant Guillotte and wife Tisha of New Iberia, Andre Guillotte of Loreauville, Rachael Howell of New Iberia, Richard “Buddy” Howell II and wife Brittney of New Iberia; lifetime best friend, Eva Thibodeaux of Delcambre; godchildren, Kali Dore of Loreauville, Colin Hebert of New Iberia, Jaidyn Alleman of New Iberia, Kodi Romero of Avery Island; in-laws, Leonard Buteaux Sr. and Lula Mae Buteaux of Avery Island; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Burley Hebert Sr.; grandmother, Betty Hebert; grandfather, Paul Gary; uncle, Derrell Hebert Sr.; and three brothers-in-law, Leonard Buteaux Jr., Toby Buteaux, and Patrick Guidry.
Upholding the honor of Pallbearers will be Derrell Hebert Jr., Kim Hebert Jr., Richard “Buddy” Howell II, Grant Guillotte, Terry Gary, Joey Hebert, Edjawaski “E.J.” Buteau, and Max Buteaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mason Buteaux, Andre Guillotte, Hunter Gardner,
Colin Hebert, Michael Hebert and Jake Hebert
