Aline “Dot” Esther Elizabeth Moore Mayeux Reibschide passed away on November 17, 2016 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family members. A native of Ida, Louisiana and a resident of New Iberia, Dot was born on February 14, 1930. She was a licensed nurse who worked for Consolata Nursing Home in New Iberia and at Denver General, in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her son, Michael Mayeux and his wife Yoly Mayeux, her two daughters, Gail Landry and Barbara Simon and her husband Billy Simon, her three grandchildren, Shane Mayeux and his wife Tiffany Mayeux, Carrie Landry, and Cindy Mayeux, and a great grandchild, Landon Mayeux. Dot was preceded in death by her parents , A L Moore and Viola Perdue Moore, her first husband Navy veteran S.J. Mayeux, her daughter Sandra Mayeux Braquet, and her second husband Army veteran Francis Reibschide. Dot grew up in New Orleans. During WWII she took the trolley every day to school. Her mother, Viola, worked at the Higgins Boat plant (at the time a secret location in New Orleans) her mother was a welder and metal worker. Dot’s father was in South America during WWII working for the Texas co,(Texaco). She will be dearly missed by all of her family members and friends. Per Dot’s wishes, there will be no funeral arrangements. Dot will be cremated and laid to rest with her late husband Mr. S.J. Mayeux.
