Harold Frederick

Youngsville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Harold Frederick, 78, will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Sucharski, SVD officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Monday, December 5, 2016 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native and lifelong resident of Youngsville, Mr. Frederick died at 12:50PM on Friday, December 2, 2016 at his residence. He was a successful salesman who sold metal to many of the local fabrication companies. He loved showing and riding horses and was a member of The Paint Horse Association and a member and past president of Hub City Rider. Mr. Harold loved dancing, camping, and working on his farm. His family, especially his grandchildren was his greatest joy.

He is survived by his son, Stacy H. Frederick and his wife Liz of Youngsville; his special friend and dancing partner, Audrey LaFosse of Youngsville; a sister, Ruby Dorcey of New Iberia, two grandchildren, Amy F. Thevenet and her husband Zachary and Samantha Frederick; and two great grandchildren, Katie “Bug” Thevenet and Macy Thevenet.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Arnaud Frederick; his parents, Otis and Elite Gerard Frederick; and a brother, Gus Frederick.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Frederick, Darrell Romero, Irby Delahoussaye, Mack Comeaux, Keith Webb, and Albert Bell.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Zachary Thevenet

The family wants to extend a special thanks to Debbie Leger for all she did for the family during Mr. Harold’s illness and also a special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice.
