A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Dulin passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 4:15AM at a local nursing facility.  Mrs. Dulin was born on May 3, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Slavin Paul Broussard Sr.  In 1936 she graduated from New Iberia High School and in a year got her first job at the Palace Theater making nine dollars a week.  One September day in 1937 she met her future husband Mr. Ray Dulin at the Yellow Bowl.

Mrs. Dulin took an interest in the fabric business. She worked at Irene’s Fabric Shop, Meaux’s Fabric Shop, Hancock Fabrics, and TGY store in New Iberia. Mrs. Dulin retired in 1986 but her love for sewing and quilting stayed with her throughout her life. After retirement she joined the Pink Ladies at Dauterive Hospital in 1989.  After volunteering with the group for 20 years she retired in 2009.

As a young Cajun woman she grew up playing cards as a way to gather with family and friends and pass the time.  She enjoyed playing Pokeno, Bourré, and other Cajun card games. But her favorite was 3-card Poker.  When she wasn’t playing cards, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, visiting the casino, and watching the Price Is Right. One of her fondest memories was when she visited the Price Is Right Studio in 1990.

She is survived by her children, Diane Dugas of Louisville, KY, David Dulin of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Cathy Landry and husband Ervin of Erath; grandchildren, Melissa Davis of Greensboro, NC, Chris Dugas of Daphne, AL, Bobby Dulin of New Iberia, Skye Dulin of Hattiesburg, MS, Krystal Lumpkin and husband Christopher of Purvis, MS, Naya (Monika) Dribinski and husband Vladimir of Livermore, CA, Heather McGrew and husband Casey of New Iberia; step grandchildren, Shane Landry and wife Nicole of New Iberia, Crystal Romero and husband Coty of Erath; sister-in-law, Florence Broussard of Monroe, WA; godchild, Sylvia "Tivvy" Stevens of Katy, TX; sixteen great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces & nephews.
