Lester Paul David

Youngsville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Lester Paul David, 81, will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Delcambre officiating. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, December 22, 2016 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Friday, December 23, 2016 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.

A native and lifelong resident of Youngsville, Mr. David died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in Youngsville. He retired in 1990 from the U.S Postal Service after over 30 years of service as a city carrier having worked in Lafayette then transferred to Broussard. After retirement he spent his time hunting, fishing and traveling.

He is survived by a son, Dale K. David and his wife Joni Viator David of Youngsville; two grandchildren, Raegan David Wilkerson and her husband Brian and Elliot Paul David; three great grandchildren, Hayden Wilkerson, Abigail Boustany, and Gavin Hendrick; two step sons, Terry Fabre and Andy Fabre, two step daughters, Josie Picard and Charleen Sellers; six step grandchildren, Kerry Fabre, Kyle Fabre, Jamen Sellers, Sara Sellers, Jarrod Sellers, and B.J. Picard; and thirteen step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Fabre David; his parents, Paul B. and Edith Broussard David; his first wife, Beverly Viator David; and his second wife, Patsy Miller David.

Serving as pallbearers will be Elliot David, Brian Wilkerson, Terry Fabre, B.J. Picard, Bob Viator, and Randy Viator.

Serving as Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Picard, Troy Trahan, Herman Thomasse, and Andy Fabre.

David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.
