Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Rosalie Ann Landry, 71, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Cedric Sonnier officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Mausoleum.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 2, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at 8:00 AM until the time of services. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday at 6:30 PM.
She sold Avon Products for 38 years. She was member of the Catholic Daughters and was head of the region for 2 years. She collected and participated in numerous charities and cooked the best Mac & Cheese with wieners her grandchildren ever tasted. Her favorite color was purple and she loved red cardinal birds. She enjoyed numerous trips with her husband to many different places as well as the casino. She loved to volunteer and said the rosary for many funerals throughout the community.
Rosalie is survived by the love of her life for 52 years, Carol J. Landry, Sr.; son, Carol J. Landry, Jr and his fiancée Debra Miguez and children, Dominic Landry and wife Lacey, Carol J. Landry III and wife Ashley, Henry Curtis, Henrietta Charpentier, and Mariah Landry; daughter, Melissa Lincoln, children Enos Landry and wife Shonda, Chassity Daniels and husband Johnny Daniels, Jr. and Stephanie Curtis; son, Octave J. Landry and children Hayden and Clara Landry; son, Bobby Landry and wife Jaime Bonin Landry, children Lauren Bonin, Madison Landry and Jordyn Landry; daughter, Barbara Landry Lee and husband Chenchau and children Gable Landry and wife Amber and Aaron Lee; great-grandchildren, Destini Curtis, Malakai Carpentier, Michael Knight, Matthew Knight, Karli Durand, Addison Bienvenu, Lexi Durand, Gracelynn Curtis, Kenzlei Daniels, Jasper Landry, Adalynn Landry, Galvin Curtis and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews; great-great grandchild, Ky'Rah Curtis; siblings, Mary Ann Blanchard, Octavia Copp, Juliet Landry, Charles Derouen and Guy Derouen; and sister-in-law, Betty Derouen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Octave "Jack" Derouen and Elodie H. Derouen; father-in-law, Dominic "Jim" Landry; mother-in-law, Lillie B. Landry; brothers, Antoine Derouen, Paul Derouen; sisters, Joyce Leblanc, Estelle Landry, Lelia Powers, Thelma Zimmerman and Lillie "Lil" Stoutes; and son-in-law, David Lincoln, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Carol J. Landry, Jr., Bobby Landry, Enos Landry, Dominic Landry, Carol J. Landry, III and Aaron Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Knight, Matthew Knight and Chenchau Lee.
