Dorothy "Maw" Judice

Loreauville - Funeral services will be conducted for Dorothy “Maw”Blanchard Judice, 85, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Barry Crochet officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 3:30 PM until the service time on Thursday. The funeral home will remain open all night Wednesday. The Men’s Rosary Group will pray the rosary on Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM.

A native of St. Martinville and a resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Judice passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2016, at 8:15 AM at her residence.

She loved gardening, reading, quilting and working puzzles. She was a “Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother”.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick Judice and his wife Janelle and Paul Judice, Jr. and his wife Cheryl all of Loreauville; her daughter, Linda Angelle and her husband Glenn, Sr. of Breaux Bridge; her brother, Ray Blanchard and his wife Elodia of New Iberia; her sister, Theresa Domingue of New Iberia; her son-in-law, Kerry Champagne of New Iberia; fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Paul Judice, Sr.; her parents, Joseph Blanchard and Amelia Gaudet Blanchard; her daughter, Emily Champagne; her sisters, Dorine Blanchard. Rosadell Hooper and Mary Rose Blanchard.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Judice, Coby Judice, Rusty Judice, Seth Champagne, Glenn Michael Angelle, Jr. and Nicholas Angelle.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Acadiana, her nurses, Judith and Louise, her aides, Carolyn, Marcy and Melissa, Deacon Davis and a special friend, Nancy Manning.
