Oray J. Savoie

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Oray J. Savoie on Monday, January 16, 2017, at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel, 1101 Trotter Street, New Iberia with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Burial will follow at Loisel Cemetery in Jeanerette.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 16, 2017 from 8:30 AM until time of services. A recitation of the Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Oray J. Savoie passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Iberia Medical Center. Oray loved woodworking, computers, repairing all types of engines, science and fishing in the bayou.

He is survived by his parents, Benjamin Savoie, Sr. and Leona G. Savoie of Jeanerette; siblings, Harriet Pirnie (husband Glen), Gale Martin (husband Ronald), Benny Savoie, Jr (wife Kathy), Mona Gravois (husband Ricky) and Bert Savoie (wife Jeanie); numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Bert Savoie, Ricky Gravois, Bro Gravois, Nicholas Gravois, Benny Savoie, Jr and Ronald Martin. Honorary pallbearers will Joey Hebert, Chase Hebert, Kyle Pirnie and Glen Pirnie.
