Beverly Louis Derouen

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Mr. Beverly Louis DeRouen, 84, at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2017, at the Lydia Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ron Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 19, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Friday, January 20, 2017, at 8:00 AM until 10:15 AM.

A native of Weeks Island and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. DeRouen passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017, at 9:45 PM at Iberia Medical Center.

He was a great outdoorsman, a great hunter, loved to raise birds, a garden made him happy and he knew that was God’s gift to us.

He is survived by his son, Casey L. DeRouen and his wife Tina of New Iberia; his daughter, Meda DeRouen Stevens and her husband George of Jeanerette; his grandchildren, Jimmy Anslem, Doug Close and his wife Rachael, Misty Bourque and her husband Hayward, Dusty Stevens, Tandy Charpentier and her husband Casey, Brandi Alleman and her husband Jake, Bethani Baranco and her fiance’ Drake Landry, Brittani Stanley and her husband Jeromey, Brette Chauvin and her husband Bobby, Jon DeRouen and Brock DeRouen; his brother-in-law, V. J. Autin of Houma; his nephew, V. J. Autin, Jr. of Houma and twenty-two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Mae Autin DeRouen; his parents, Lawrence “Laurent” DeRouen, Sr. and Odelle Borel DeRouen; his daughter, Cynthia DeRouen Prejean; his son, Raymond Anslem, Jr.; his sisters, Elsie Chaprentier and Betty Dupuis; his brother, Lawrence “L. J.” DeRouen, Jr. and his grandchild, Bobby “Allen” Close.

Pallbearers will be Casey DeRouen, George Stevens, Brock DeRouen, Jon DeRouen, Hayward Bourque and Dustin McMillian.

Honorary pallbearers will be V. J. Autin, V. J. Autin, Jr. and Jimmy Anslem.
