Jeanerette - Funeral services will be conducted for Bunice McLeod Smith, 62 at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 28, 2017, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Theo Landry officiating.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 28, 2017, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Born in New Iberia, Mrs. Smith resided in Charenton and passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017, at her residence at 9:45 AM.

She was a “Loving Wife and Mother” who was an avid Crafter and an excellent cook.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Smith, Sr. of Charenton; her sons, Dale Smith, Jr. and his fiancee’ Elizabeth Carr of New Iberia and Dusty Smith of Charenton; her friend, Faydashia Austin of Centerville; her brother, Olen McLeod and his wife Carla of New Iberia and her favorite Aunt and Godmother, Shirley Duhon of Jeanerette.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl McLeod, Jr. and Adley Fitch McLeod; her brother, Carl McLeod, III and her daughter, Kiley Smith.
