Eunice Leblanc Lopez

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Eunice LeBlanc Lopez, 90, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon officiating. Readers for the funeral mass will be Shannon Lopez and Micah Lopez. Burial will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 30, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 9:00 AM until 1:30 PM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home by the Men’s Rosary Group on Monday at 7:00 PM.

A native of Vermilion Parish and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lopez passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at 5:10 AM at The Carpenter House – St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.

She was a “Loving Mother and Grandmother” who loved playing Bourre’ and occasionally going to the casino.

She is survived by her sons, Andrew “Drew” Lopez and his wife Daphne of New Iberia and Gerald Lopez and his wife Shelia of Lafayette; her daughter, Brenda Lopez Garner of Houston, TX; her sister, Eula Duhon of Maurice; her grandchildren, Scott Michael Lopez, Ron Jude Lopez, Heidi Lynn Fisher, Jimmi Lynn Larsen, Tiffany Layne Youtsas, Gina Maria Hanchey and Micah John Lopez; fourteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lopez; her parents, Fernand LeBlanc and Ella Langlinais LeBlanc and her brother, Willis LeBlanc.

Pallbearers will be Scott Lopez, Ron Lopez, Micah Lopez, Michael Lopez, Taylor Youtsas and Lance Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Webb Lopez, Jr. and Matthew Hanchey.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Carpenter House at St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.
