Broussard - Private memorial services for Mr. J.C. “Jake” Addie, 98, will be held at a later date.

A native of Ida and a resident of Broussard, LA, Jake passed away at his residence on Friday, February 10, 2017. He retired from Loffland Brothers Company in 1985 after 43 years of service. Jake was an avid craftsman and enjoyed woodworking up until the time of his death.

Survivors include his daughters, Anita Addie Plummer and husband Bob of Porter, TX, Debbie Addie LaBarge and husband Brian of Iota, LA, Lisa Addie Aucoin and husband Stan of Broussard, LA, and Madria McCool and husband Dewayne of Tuscaloosa, AL; a daughter in law, Becky Addie of Youngsville, LA; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, John Columbus Addie and Bertha Poston Addie, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Rita Hulin Addie;

son, Jerry Addie; grandson, Jeremy Addie; brother, Corbie Addie; sister, Louise Richardson; and his beloved canine companion, “Tiger”.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Heart of Hospice, especially Sarah Simpson, Julie Babino, Danielle Shelvin, and Melody Coleman; and also Brittany Plauche with NSI Home Health.
