Doralisse Leblanc Hebert

New Iberia – A Rosary Service and Funeral Services will be conducted for Doralisse LeBlanc Hebert, 96, at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ed Degeyter officiating. Reading for the funeral service will be proclaimed by Taylor Hebert.  Musical selections, Amazing Grace, Ava Maria and How Great Thou Art will be sung by Kay Migues accompanied by Karen Guidry on the organ. Burial will follow in Beau Pre Memorial Park Mausoluem.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 28, 2017, from 9:00 AM until the service time.

A native of Jeanerette, a resident of New Iberia and a longtime former resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Hebert passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 7:55 PM at Consolata Nursing Home.

She was a retired Editor with the Jeanerette Enterprise Newspaper and was responsible for producing the Annual Creole Cookbook for many years.  After retirement Doralisse and her husband Carlyle became members of the Gloria Mundi Travel Club and traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada. She was an avid Bridge and 500 card player.

She is survived by her son, Richard J. Hebert and his wife Lisa; her daughter, Mary Elizabeth Hebert Taylor all of New Iberia; daughter-in-law, Karlyne Hebert; her grandchildren, Amanda Cooper and her husband Rusty, Taylor Hebert, Shanda Hebert and Katelyn Hebert and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carlyle J. Hebert, Sr.; her parents, E. I. “Tib” LeBlanc and Mary Aggie Guess LeBlanc; her son, Carlyle J. Hebert, Jr.; her sister, Yvonne LeBlanc and her son-in-law, Don Taylor.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to thank Charles Delahoussaye and Staff of Consolata Nursing Home, Dr. James Falterman, Jr. and Dr. Paul Gulotta.
