Maude Lacey Gary

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Maude Lacey Andre’ Gary, 90, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2017, in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Mausoleum in Jeanerette.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 2, 2017, from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM and a rosary will be prayed by the Men’s Rosary Group in the funeral home at
11:00 AM.

A native of Savannah, GA and a resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Gary passed away on Monday, February 27, 2017, at 1:00 PM at Iberia Medical Center.

She was a “Loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother” who loved cooking for her family. She also loved to read and spending time at the camp. She was a graduate of Jeanerette Senior High School and Spencer Business College. She was a former Assistant Clerk at Larroque Pharmacy in Jeanerette for many years.

She is survived by her daughters, Hope Gary of Jeanerette, Joette Verret, Lacey Dronet and her husband Randy and Martha Hogue and her husband Jeffery all of New Iberia; her son, Gerald Gary, Jr. and his wife Jill of New Iberia; her sister, Margarite Hebert of Jeanerette; her grandchildren, Dustin Dronet and his wife Jamie of Erath, Kristal V. Myers and her husband Lonnie of New Iberia, Jessica Owens and her husband Jake of Jeanerette, Casey Hogue and her wife Julie of Rayne and Alexis D. Primeaux and her husband Charles of Erath and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Andre’ and Eva Daigle Andre’; her sisters, Myrtle Guillotte, Pat Trimble, Anna Mae Rosamond, Mabel Mendoza, Geraldine Hebert, Vivian LeBlanc and Mildred Barras; her grandson, Brad Verret, Jr. and her son-in-law, Brad Verret, Sr..

Pallbearers will be Randy Dronet, Gerald Gary, Jr., Jeffery Hogue, Dustin Dronet, Alexis Primeaux and Casey Hogue.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lonnie Myers, Jake Owens, Kristal Myers, Jessica Owens, Charles Primeaux, Jr., Julie Hogue, Jamie Dronet and Barry Green.
