Rena Langlinais

Youngsville - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at a 12:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, for Rena Decou Langlinais, 90, who passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at her sons residence.

Visitation will be held Wednesday March 1, 2017 at David Funeral Home in Youngsville, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM with a Rosary recited at 7:00PM, and will continue Thursday March 2, 2017 from 8:00AM until time of services. Burial will follow in St. Anne Mausoleum in Youngsville. Reverend Thomas Jason Mouton, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville will be celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.

A native and lifelong resident of Youngsville, Mrs. Langlinais worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm, she enjoyed gardening, sewing and crocheting, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty L. Comb and her husband, Darrel of Breaux Bridge; son, Patrick Langlinais and his wife Nancy of Youngsville; three grandsons, Rene’ Comb and his wife Davilynn of Breaux Bridge, Andre’ Comb and his wife, Amanda of St. Martinville and Jacques Comb of Breaux Bridge; three granddaughters, Lisa Richard of Judice, Christine Richard and her companion David Nealms of Youngsville, and Jill Sigur and her husband Steven of Youngsville; two sisters in law, Olga Toups of Abbeville and Ursule Giebelstein of Pasadena, TX; ten grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephew; her special cousin to whom she was like a sister Lillian Dore; and her god child Joyce Landry.

He was preceded in death by her husband Dalton J. Langlinais; parents, Leo and Helene Bourque Decou; twelve siblings; and a god child Brian Wilson.

Pallbearers will be Patrick Langlinais, Darrel Comb, Rene’ Comb, Andre’ Comb, Jacques Comb and Darrell Trahan.
