William "Bill" John Burnett

Lafayette- A private Memorial Service for Mr. William "Bill" Burnett, 77, will be conducted in Greenville, TX, on 3/4/17 at Central Christian Church.

A native of Greenville, TX and a resident of Lafayette, Bill passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 4:15AM at Lafayette General Hospital. Bill had many enjoyments throughout his lifetime such as hunting, playing poker, telling jokes, playing  pool, and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed sports but had a greater passion for football. He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him best as a hard worker, a loyal friend, a devoted husband and a loving father.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patty Daigle Burnett of Lafayette; four daughters: Ashlyn Sarrett and her husband Asa Sarrett of Dallas Texas, Jennifer Leckey and her husband Nathan Leckey also of Dallas Texas, Susan Boyd of New Orleans Louisiana, Anne Thompson of Ruston Louisiana, a granddaughter, Katie Leckey; two grandsons, Liam and Hudson Sarrett; a sister, Luada "Snug" Parisey; brother-in-law Larry Daigle; and three nieces and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Luada Burnett; and brother-in-law's Larry Parisey and Charlie Daigle
