Arthur M. Migues

Jeanerette – Funeral services will be conducted for Arthur M. Migues, 82, on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 10:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Father Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 8:00 AM until the service time. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Sunday at 7:00 PM.

A native and resident of Jeanerette, Mr. Migues passed away on Friday, March 31, 2017, at 10:32 AM at Maison Teche Nursing Home in Jeanerette.

Mr.  Migues served in the Louisiana National Guard and the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam Era. He was a retired Rigger and worked in several shipyards. He enjoyed spending quiet time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rosalie Mayer Migues of Jeanerette; his daughters, Michelle M. Deare and her husband Kris, Alicia M. Provost and her husband Tim all of Jeanerette and Rose Ann Migues and her companion Pam Darden of New Iberia; his grandchildren, John Deare, Jr. and his wife Ashley, Heather Deare Patton, Eric Provost and his wife Ali, Sarah Provost, Olivia P. Switzer and her husband Andrew, Emily Provost, David Provost and Amelia Provost and his great grandchildren, Aubrie Kate Deare, Addison Claire Deare, Brianna Provost, Carson Patin, Cannon Provost, Cove Provost, Madilyn Switzer and Anniston Switzer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ledier Migues and Inola Sanders Migues; his brothers, Wilbur Migues, Jerome Migues and Martin Migues and his sisters, Heneritta M. Thibodeaux, Daisy Belle M. Landry and Madeline M. Morris.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Bridgeway Hospice, especially his nurse Erin and the entire staff at Maison Teche Nursing Center for the exceptional care and compassion provided to Mr. Arthur in his time of need.
