Ida Stelly

Lafayette - Ida Boulet Stelly, passed away at her home in Broussard, on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 7:15PM. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:00AM with Keith Duhon , Deacon of Our Lady Of Wisdom Catholic Church in David Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 9:00AM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary recited by friends and family at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 8:00AM until time of services. She graduated from high school as the Valedictorian. She was employed by Andrew Leblanc DDS as a Dental assistant for 35 years until her retirement. She enjoyed shopping with a passion, playing Booray, going to casinos, and loved cooking Wednesday dinners for her family. She is survived by her three children; her daughter, Priscilla “Bootsie” LeBlanc of Broussard; and her two sons, James Stelly and his wife Glenda of Lafayette, and Paul “Tookie” Stelly and his wife Kim of Broussard; eight grandchildren; and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Paul Stelly; her son- in- law, Paul LeBlanc; her parents, O’neil and Orale Boulet; her three sisters, Cathrine Navarre, Mabe l Guidry, Aileen Arceneaux;, and her four brothers, Louis Stelly, Paul Boulet, James Boulet, and Ban Boulet. Serving as pallbearers will be Randall Stelly, Tony Stelly, Kevin Stelly, Toby Stelly, Matthew Champagne, and Zackery LeBlanc. The family wishes to give a special thanks to Julie, Katie, and Laura with Heart of Hospice and also Ms. Jenita Trahan, Glenda Stelly, and Kim Stelly .We couldn’t have done it without you.
