New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Steve J. Richardson, 59, on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 11:00 AM in the David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Rouse officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 8:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday at 7:00 PM.Born in New Iberia and a resident of Rynella, Mr. Richardson passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 5:07 AM at his residence.He was a retired auto mechanic and crane operator. He loved Hot Rods, Muscle Cars especially Mustangs.He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janis Provost Richardson of Rynella; his parents, Melvin “Tiger” Richardson and Rosemary Dartez Richardson of Rynella;  his daughter, Brandi Delcambre and her husband Brandon of Rynella; his son, Brett Richardson of Lafayette; his sisters, Shelia R. Romero of New Iberia and Kelly R. Ball and her husband Lee of Rynella; his brothers, Michael Richardson and his wife Mary of Rynella, Tony Richardson and his companion Jennie of Jeanerette, Bruce Richardson and his wife Jessica of Rynella and Barry Richardson of Jonesville and his grandchild, Avery Delcambre. He was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Elmay and John Dartez; his paternal grandparents, Elma and Melvin Richardson, Sr.; his brother-in-law’s, Edgar “Tuttie” Folse, III, Kenneth Romero and David Provost; his sister-in-law, Ronnie Provost and his nephew, Bradley P.
