New Iberia - Ray Lee Hall, 87, of New Iberia, Louisiana went to meet the Lord at 11:27 AM on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Lafayette General Hospital. He was a loving and devoted father and grandfather who treasured family gatherings.
A celebration of life will be held at David’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday April 21, 2017 at 7:00 P.M, with Reverend Andy Starks officiating the service. Visitation will begin at 5:00PM with the service at 7:00 PM.
Ray was a native of Hull, Texas and a resident of New Iberia, Louisiana since 1960. He was the son of the late Karl and Lela Mae Hall of Hull, Texas. He was proud to serve our country in the U.S. Army. He worked as a mechanic for NL McCullough and served the Parish of Iberia as a mechanic for several years. While raising his family, he enjoyed fishing at Toledo Bend and camping with close friends and family. In his later years, he found pleasure in deer hunting with co-workers and good friend George Scalia. He was a handyman at heart and always had a project in the works.
He is survived by his daughter; Debbie Vice and husband, Tim Vice of Youngsville, Daughter; Myra Guillot and husband Frank Guillot of New Iberia, ,
Grandchildren; Brant Vice, Ryan Vice and wife Christina of Youngsville, Chancey Guiberteau of New Iberia, Frankie Rholdon, M.D. and husband, Roger Rholdon, Jr. of Lafayette, John Guillot of Coteau, and Michael Guillot of New Iberia and loving friend Rita Broussard of New Iberia.
He is also survived by his beautiful seven great grandchildren, Silas and Morgan Vice, Charity and Tallon Guiberteau, and John Parker, Leona, and Keller Rholdon.
Ray was preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Earline Hall; daughter Paula Hall, his brother Lavern Hall, and his sister Louise Ballinger.
The family of Ray wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Bridgeway Hospice, nurses and staff of Lafayette General Hospital, and those doctors who went above and beyond to express their wise and loving care.
