Chad Romero

New Iberia – A Celebration of Life service will be conducted for Chad Romero, 51, on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Barry Crochet, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church , Loreauville officiating.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 from 8:00 AM until time of the Celebration of Life.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Chad went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Iberia Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was an avid deer hunter and a member of the Lucky Buck Hunting Club and a Machinist with the Universal Manufacturing of Broussard for five years.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sheila Berard Romero; two sons, Trey Romero of New Orleans and Luke Romero of New Iberia; daughter Cali Romero of St. Martinville; parents, James Romero and Lovell Vincent Romero of Loreauville; son-in-law, Barry Rogers, Jr. of Loreauville; two granddaughters, Alexis and Ameilla; grandson, Kylon; paternal grandmother, Amez Derouen; maternal grandmother, Inez Vincent; two brothers, Kendall Romero of Loreauville and Russ Romero and his wife Deah of Baton Rouge; sister, Jamie Ackal and her husband Mike of Loreauville; best friend, Kim Lormand of Cecelia and his loving dog, Coco.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Freddie Romero and maternal grandfather, Russell Vincent.
