Audrey Crochet

Loreauvillle – Funeral services will be conducted for Audrey Romero Crochet, 82, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux and Fr. Paul Onugebe officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 8:00 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home by the Men’s Rosary Group at 7:00 PM.

A native of Youngsville and a resident of Loreauville, Mrs. Crochet passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, at 2:17 PM at Lafayette General Medical Center.

She was employed with the Iberia Parish School Board for 16 years and retired as the Custodian at Loreauville High School. She loved playing Pokeno and Dancing.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Paul Herbert Crochet of Loreauville; her children, Michael Crochet and his wife Becky Bourque of Coteau Holmes, Diana Crochet Borel and her husband Carol Borel, Patricia Crochet all of Lafayette, Malcolm Crochet and his wife Vickie Louviere, Gerald “Ping” Crochet and his wife Missy Landry, Carolyn Crochet Roseberry and her husband Mark Roseberry, Chris “John” Crochet and his wife Chrissy Broussard all of Loreauville, Melissa Crochet Landers and her husband Darrell Landers of Brooklyn, MI and Paulette Crochet Prince and her husband Gary Prince of Loreauville; her sisters, Grace Bourque, Roberta Comeaux both of Coteau and Gurlie Landry of New Iberia; her brothers, Clifford “Brud” Romero of Coteau and Sterling “T-Neg” Romero of Broussard; her grandchildren, Casey, Eric, Brian, Shane, Brandy, Michael, Amy, Stacey, Brennon, Jessica, Dusty, Josh, Kimberly and Jacob and her great grandchildren, Gavin, Reed, Brycen, Josie, Christopher, Emma, Matthew, Ross, Colby, Jade, Chloe, Lily, Rebekah, Jonah, Hailey, Aubrey, Kelsi, C. J., Dawson, Addison and Averie Jordan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ossie “Pierre” Romero and Elina Fabre Romero; her brother, Elmo Romero, Sr., her grandson, Jordan Prince and her great grandson, Drake Melancon.

Pallbearers will be Casey Crochet, Shane Borel, Dusty Crochet, Brennon Crochet, Chris Crochet, Joshua Roseberry, Jacob Prince and Michael Melancon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Crochet, Bryan Crochet, Brandy Borel, Amy Hebert, Stacy Hebert, Jessica Romero and Kimberly Roseberry.
