Myrtle Grisiaffi

Jeanerette – Funeral services will be conducted for Myrtle Landry Grisiaffi, 85, at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. Jody Simoneaux officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 12, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 8:00 AM until the time of the service. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM.

A native and lifelong resident of Jeanerette, Mrs. Grisiaffi passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 2:20 AM at Iberia Medical Center.

She retired as a Legal Secretary with Alain & Alain Law Firm. She enjoyed Crocheting, Arts and Crafts.

She is survived by her children, Gail Grisiaffi Garcia and her husband Donovan of Jeanerette, David Grisiaffi and his wife Patty of Tallahassee, FL and Janet Grisiaffi Kern and her husband Jeff of Youngsville; her grandchildren, Raymond Garcia and his wife Brandy of Ponchatoula, Virginia Garcia Kern and her husband Lance of Cade, Shane Grisiaffi of Alexandria, Sarah Grisiaffi and Jonathan Grisiaffi both of Tallahassee, FL; her great grandchildren, Bailey Garcia, Evan Garcia, Skyla Kern and Paisley Kern; her brother, Allen Landry and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Grisiaffi; her parents, Honore Landry and Mathilde Landry Landry; her brothers, Edmond Landry and Ulysses “Nomie” Landry and her sisters, Eunice Landry Ladouceur, Marjorie Landry and Mary Landry Broussard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Donovan Garcia, Jeff Kern, David Grisiaffi, Jonathan Grisiaffi, Raymond Garcia and Lance Kern.

Serving as a honorary pallbearer will be Allen Landry.
