Ricky Lynn "Fonk" Bodin

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Ricky Lynn “Fonk” Bodin, 59, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 11:00 AM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Degeyter officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 8:00 AM until time of service. Recitation of the Rosary will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 7:00 PM with the Men’s Rosary.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Ricky went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 6:17 PM at his residence. He worked for Superior Valve which became LA Energy for 30 years as a Machinist in the Oil Industry, enjoyed bowling and watching his children in sports. His most memorable times were spent with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Hollie Thibodeaux Bodin; two sons, Cody Lee Thibodeaux and his wife Sara and Beau Joseph Bodin, both of New Iberia; four brothers, Rusty Bodin and his wife Andre, Gerald Bodin, Greg Bodin and his wife Rene, all of New Iberia and Scotty Bodin and his wife Adriene of Lafayette; mother, Joyce Morgan bodin of New Iberia; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Bodin.

The family would like to express special thanks to Lourdes Hospice, especially nurses Casey, Renee, Sue, Angie and Chaplain Debbie.
