New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Julie Romero, 55, on Thursday, May 11, 2017, at 8:00 PM at David Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. James Hodges officiating.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 11, 2107 from 4:00 PM until time of services.

A native of Kaplan and a former resident of New Iberia, Julie went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Abram Kaplan Hospital. She was a lover of music, enjoyed shopping, loved to plant flowers and the special times she had with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Karli R. LeBeouf and husband, Josh of Kaplan and Ryan Romero of Lafayette; grandchildren, Luke LeBeouf, Kipp LeBeouf and Layla LeBeouf; brothers, Rocky Haas and wife Denise of New Iberia, Scott Haas and wife Diane of New Iberia; a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 23 years, Courtney Blaine Romero; father Wyman H. Haas; mother Jean Olslorg; brothers, Wyman G. Haas and Mark Haas.
