Gregg Joseph Berard

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Gregg Joseph Berard, 53, at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church with Father Mario Romero officiating. Burial will follow in the Nativity of Our Lady Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and resume on Thursday, May 25, 2017, at 8:00 AM until 10:30 AM. A rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Wednesday at 7:00 PM by the Men’s Rosary Group.

A native of Coteau Holmes and a resident of New Iberia, Mr. Berard passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at 3:37 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

He was employed with 4-D Construction for 30 years. He enjoyed videos, fishing, gardening, computers, guitars and music. He was an avid Saints and LSU fan.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Terry David Berard of New Iberia; his mother Audrey Pennison Berard of Loreauville; his children, Nina Berard Zeno and her husband Wilson of Arnaudville, Devran Berard and Hana Berard both of New Iberia; his sister, Anita Migues and her husband Danny of Delcambre and Lisa Comeaux and her husband James “Jimmy” of Breaux Bridge; his brothers, Danny Berard and his wife Rolaine of Coteau Holmes and Peter James Berard of Kansas City, MO; his grandchildren, Logan Berard, Landon Berard, Chloe Zeno, Isaiah Zeno, Elijah Zeno and Shawnna Zeno; his sister-in-law, Liz Berard of St. Martinville and a host of friends, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence “Pete” Berard; his son, Shawn Berard and his brothers, Kim Berard and Peter Paul Berard.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Berard, Peter Berard, Harry Dugas, Wydell Chatagnier, Buddy Johnson and Devran Berard.
