Irene Segura Lasalle

Erath - Funeral services for Irene Segura LaSalle, 90, will be held Friday May 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre . Father Andre' Metrijean Pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic in Erath will officiate.

Visitation will be held Thursday May 25, 2017 from 10:00 Am and continue until just prior to services.

Mrs. LaSalle was a native of Iberia Parish and a resident of Erath, she passed away Wednesday May 24, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She had the gift of hospitality and song, very religious and of strong faith, she was a loving mother to her children and "like a mother" to many others, she left her legacy of song and music to her children and grandchildren. She loved to listen to Glen Miller's music in the middle of the night. She never complained or demanded anything from anyone and was a great listener and always knew what to say. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs.  LaSalle was survived by sons  Ricky and his wife Jacqueline Hoag LaSalle of Erath Timothy and his wife Cecile Duhon LaSalle of Erath; daughter Melody LaSalle and her husband Ronald D. Lyons of Erath, Shannon LaSalle of Erath, Drucie LaSalle and husband Dennis Boudreaux of Erath, Starr LaSalle and her husband Earl Daniel Price Jr. of Jeanerette; her grandchildren Rebecca Cano, Slaton, Tarrah, and  Bryton LaSalle, Nicholes Hoag, Leia Duplantis, Beau,Brittany,  Jared and Arianna Lyons, Alex, William, and Faith Boudreaux, and Skylar Daniel Price; her great grandchildren Mateo Cano, Ridge, Hayden, Allison, Kaylee, and  Kennedi  LaSalle, Ava and Andrew Hoag, Sabrina and Howard Duplantis, Jonah Walling, and  Keelie Robinson, and Elijah Lyons. She is also survived by Norman Gene and Sandra Touchet two people who were like another son and daughter to her. One sister, Lorraine Segura Duhon; one brother Dulius Segura.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Joseph Needless LaSalle; her  first born son Saunders LaSalle of whom she spoke of often.  Her parents Jean Dewey and Euphemie Desormeaux Segura. Sisters, Agnes Segura Duplantis, Nilda Segura Duplantis, Elaine Segura Comeaux; and one brother Lefraye Segura.

Serving as pallbearers will be Slaton LaSalle, Bryton LaSalle, Nicholas Hoag, Jared Lyons, Alex Boudreaux, William Boudreaux, and Skylar Price. Honorary pallbearers will be Beau Lyons, and Ridge LaSalle.
