Irene Lanclos

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Irene “Mama Joyce” Boudreaux Lanclos, 87, at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 16, 2017, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Msgr.  Russell Harrington, Father Mark Derise and Deacon Ulysse Joubert officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 9:00 AM until 1:30 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 11:00 AM.

A native of Lafayette and a resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Lanclos passed away on Friday, June 15, 2017, at 3:00 AM at New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home.

She was employed for 30 plus years at Menard’s and Piggly Wiggly Grocery Stores. She was involved with the PTC at Hopkins Elementary School for many years. She enjoyed cooking for her family on many Sunday’s with love. She had a special relationship with her grandchildren engaging with times of joy and laughter making lifetime memories.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Joubert and her husband Ulysse of Opelousas; Ethel Elter, Laura Labiche and her husband David all of New Iberia, Avia McGlothlan and her husband Jim of Hot Springs Village, AR and Emelie Bearde and her husband Gary of New Iberia; her sister-in-law, Gloria Hargrave of Lafayette; her grandchildren, Carroll Elter, Jean – Paul Joubert, Andree St. Andre, Angelique Joubert, Jacques Joubert, Dax Lanclos, Clay Lanclos, Nicholas Landry, Niles Landry, Mac McGlothlan, Peter McGlothlan, Mary Romero, Heidi Romero and James Bearde and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Antoine Lanclos; her parents, Milton and Lydia Leleux Boudreaux; her son, Clifton “Clif” Lanclos, Jr.; her sisters, Helen Hargroder and Louella Richard and her brothers, J. P. Boudreaux and Dalton Boudreaux.

Pallbearers will be Jean – Paul Joubert, Carroll Elter, Dax Lanclos, Nicholas Landry, Niles Landry, Mac McGlothlan, Jacques Joubert and Heidi Romero.

Honorary pallbearers will be Andree St. Andre, Angelique Joubert, Clay Lanclos, Peter McGlothlan, Mary Romero and James Bearde.

The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Hankenhof, the Staff of New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home, Hospice of Acadiana and Dianne and Doug Henneman for the care provided to Mrs. Lanclos.
