Sybile Lormand Romero

Broussard- Funeral Services for Sybile Romero, 78, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor with Fr. Brian Harrington officiating. Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00PM and will resume at 8:00AM on Thursday, July 27, 2011 until service time. Entombment will follow services at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Coteau, LA.

A native of Kaplan and a resident of Coteau, Mrs. Romero passed away at 6:30AM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at her residence.  Sybile was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church Choir, and also a member of the Ladies Altar Society.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her  children, Marcia Granger and her husband Tex, of New Iberia, Becky Romero and her husband Willie, Kirk Romero and his wife Tina, Kendall Romero, and Jenny Handschin and her husband Jason all of Coteau; grandchildren, Dawn Trahan, Jason Granger, Jared Granger, Jacob Granger, Sarah Granger, Rachel Allen, Monica Trivanovich and her husband Adam, Steven Allen, Joey Myers and his wife Genee’, Jennifer Love and her husband Brodie, Amber Holloway and her husband Jacob, Katlyn DeRouen , Keegan Handschin and Konner Handschin; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kristen Trahan, Harley, Austin, and Taylor Granger, Dylan and Eli Trivanovich, Mason Evans, Hayes and Nash Holloway, her brother Jerome Lormand.

She was preceded in death by her parents Emar and Emelie Richard Lormand, sisters Leatrice Vincent, and Delora Hanks, one brother Farrell Lormand.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Myers, Jared Granger, Steven Allen , Jacob Granger,  Joel Vincent, and Aaron Guidry. Honorary pallbearer s will be Keegan and Konner Handschin.
