Martha B. Louviere

Loreauville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Martha B. “Mott” Louviere, 94, on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Bill Melancon as Celebrant. Burial will follow the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Saturday, July 29, 2017 from 8:00 Am until time of service. Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 6:00 PM with Father Barry Crochet in the funeral home.

A native and lifelong resident of Loreauville, Martha was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was a retired Custodian for Loreauville High School for 25 years where she was known as “Ms Mott.” She was also known for her love for flowers, especially day lilies. She loved working in her flower beds every day. Martha was a devoted Catholic with a heart of gold. We wish we could say that our grandmother lived a life full of joy and happiness, but her life was marked by many tragedies. She lost her three children and husband within eight years. She was a loveable woman who admired all of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Laurent Theriot; grandchildren, Terry, Barry and Shane Theriot and his wife Dr. Jeanne, Bridget Clause and her husband Kevin, Harold “Key-Key” Louviere, Travis Louviere and his wife Ida, Vernon “T-Vern” Louviere, Penny Green and her husband Dayne; 19 great grandchildren and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Moise Louviere; father, Sylivo Broussard; mother, Alicia Ducrest Broussard; two sons, Harold “Hadacol” Louviere, Sr. and Vernon “T-Red” Louviere, Sr; daughter, Jeanette Theriot; sister, Stennie Thibodeaux; brother, Weston “T-Bruce” Broussard; grandson; Carl “T-Carl” Theriot; daughter-in-law, Louella “Lou-Lou” Louviere.

Pallbearers will be Terry Theriot, Barry Theriot, Shane Theriot, Harold “Key-Key” Louviere, Nick Louviere and Jake Pelous.

Honorary pallbearers will be Laurent Theriot, Vernon “T-Vern” Louviere, Travis Louviere, Cody Theriot, Kwinn Theriot, Laik Clause, Jonah Theriot, Zach Theriot, Eli Theriot, Kaleb Theriot, Peyton Louviere, Koby Green, Landon Green, Ganon Green, Myles Hebert and Adyen Derouen and Alijah Derouen.
