New Iberia - Robert S. “Bob” Harding, 90, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Lafayette General Hospital. A native of Flint, Michigan, Bob moved to Louisiana in 1970 and has been living in the area since that time. He traveled extensively as a foreman and a roustabout in the Old Field Industry.
He received his Honorable Discharge from the U. S. Army during World War II as a Light Infantry Truck Driver. He was a resident of Liverpool, Nova Scotia Canada. A recipient of the World War II Victory Medal, he was recommended to enlist as a T4 in the reserves.
He is survived by his daughter, Laura Grathoff; step-son, Elbert Harvard; friends, Wanda Miller and husband Mac of New Iberia and son, Ronald Kenny of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Laura Harding; wife, Felicia Harding; daughter, Sandra Harding; siblings, Fred Harding, Kay Frawnfelter and Arthur Harding.
It was his desire to be cremated and have his cremains placed with those of his wife.
