Irene "T-Neg" Pelous

1:00 PM on Friday, January 5, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Barry Crochet officiating. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 4:00 PM until 10:00 PM and resume on Friday, January 5, 2018, at 8:00 AM until the service. A rosary, led by the Men’s Rosary Group, will be prayed in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 PM.
A resident of Loreauville, “T-Neg” passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at 3:15 AM at her residence.
She was born and raised at Bayou Benoit, moved to Lake Dauterive until 1959 when she moved to Harold Landry Road until her death.
She enjoyed playing Pokeno, Yahtzee, going to the casino and enjoyed cooking for friends and family. She loved her family especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Robert Pelous, Sr. and his wife Linda, Curtis Pelous and his wife Bonnie and Chris Pelous and his wife Judith all of Loreauville; her daughters, Gloria Pelous of Laguna Beach, CA, Dolores P. Bonin, Faye P. Rebert and her husband Vernon, Sr., Barbara P. Moore and her husband Rickey all of Loreauville and Debra Pelous of Webster, TX; her brothers, Walter Latiolais, Sr. of Loreauville and Charles Latiolais, Sr. of Catahoula; twenty-seven grandchildren, fifty-seven great grandchildren, thirty-three great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Arthur S. “Togan” Pelous; her father, Joseph Latiolais; her mother, Celina Toffier Latiolais, her sons, David Pelous, Sr. and Kenneth Pelous; her sisters, Rena Olivier, Mildred Seneca and Doris Latiolais; her grandsons, Rickey “T-Rick” Moore, II and Troy Pelous and her granddaughter, Glenda Romero.
Pallbearers will be Jason Bonin, Chris Pelous, Michael Seneca, Kim Pelous, Jamie Moore and Mark Pelous.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Pelous, Sr., Tammy Landry, Robert Pelous, Jr., Lories Pelous, Trisha Pelous, Mark Pelous, Kelsey Pelous, Kerry Pelous, Sophie Reese, Jared Bonin, Vernon Rebert, Sr., Cora Laviolette, Vernon Rebert, Jr., Stacey Stelly, Amanda McCoy, Curtis Pelous, Bethany Richard, Brigette Amy, David Pelous, Jr., Chantel Pelous, Charlotte Baker, Ricky Moore, Daphne Alvarez, Charles Romero, Jason Cherrie and Serena Cherrie.
