Hazel Guidry

Lydia—Funeral services will be conducted for Hazel Pichoff Guidry, age 100, at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 15, 2018 at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Lydia with Fr. Gregory Chauvin officiating.  She will be laid to rest in St. Nicholas Mausoleum, in Patoutville, next to her loving husband of 50 years Willis (Koch) Guidry.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 15, 2018, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church located at 7809 Weeks Island Rd, Lydia; beginning at 8:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM. A rosary will be prayed at 9:30 AM by Fr. Gregory Chauvin.

She was born on Bellevue Plantation in Florence.  She was a resident of Patoutville and Lydia. Mrs. Guidry passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at 11:55 AM at New Iberia Manor South Nursing Home.

She enjoyed reading, word search, and building puzzles. She loved talking to her sisters and family.

She is survived by her children; John Pichoff, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Lydia, Willis “Bug” Guidry, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Carencro, Carolyn Tenney and her husband Shuble of Lafayette and David Pichoff and his wife Gwen of Lydia; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mrs. Guidry was preceded in death by her husbands, John Pichoff , Sr. and Willis Guidry, Sr.; one daughter Laurel Schexnayder, one grand-daughter Jessie S. Martin and parents Robert and Lydia Verret Rawlings.

Serving as pallbearers will be Neely Guidry, David Adams, Tony Pichoff, Jolene Pichoff, James Pichoff and John Pichoff, III.
