Steven Boudreaux

Loreauville – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Steven Boudreaux, age 47, will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Barry Crochet officiating the mass.  A Celebration of Steven’s life will be held later that evening at David Funeral Home of Loreauville on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4:00PM until 8:00PM with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM by the Mens Rosary Group.   A native and resident of Loreauville, Mr. Steven passed away peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 4:04 PM while he was surrounded by his loving family. Steven was a man that had an incredible sense of humor and an outgoing character. This combination is the reason that he was so well known.  He was an openhanded person that freely gave his time and generosity to any one that needed it. His was mechanically inclined and had a knack for fixing things. He did enjoy the challenge, however if anyone would open a conversation about fast or loud cars, they might have had the privilege to peak his soul.  He was really passionate about muscle cars and due to his incredible understanding of mechanics; he loved having very intellectual conversations about them. However if you really wanted to see pure joy and a sparkle in his eye, get him talking about his son Stephen. Throughout his life he had many pets and his gentle nature loved each and every one of them uniquely.  He was a great cook and arguably the best in his family. Steven was a student of life and enjoyed reading and studying many topics. Some of his interests were photography, gardening and caring for Bonsai Trees.  His love for music and a good laugh touched the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by so many. He is survived by his mother Dorothy Boudreaux of Zwolle, La., his son Stephen Boudreaux of New Iberia, his brother Jean Curley Boudreaux Jr. of Loreauville, his brother Brad Anthony Boudreaux of Loreauville, his sister Leedie Boudreaux Martinez of Loreauville, his Parrain JackParrie of Zwolle, numerous nieces and nephews and his lifelong best friend/cousin Peter LaGrange. He is preceded in death by his father Jean Curley Boudreaux Sr., and his grandparents Rupert and Louise Parrie and Leonie and Leddie Boudreaux.
