Jaywood Paul Domingue

New Iberia – A celebration of life service will be held for Mr. Jaywood Paul Domingue, age 78, at 3:00 PM on Monday, May 14, 2018 at David Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Patrick Burke as the celebrant.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 3:00 PM with a recitation of the rosary at 12:00 PM by The Mens Rosary Group.

A native of Erath, Mr. Jaywood was an altar boy for the LeBlanc Community and he graduated from Erath High School.  Upon graduating from high school he would join the National Guard Reserves where he was honorably discharged.  He worked for A&A Home Supplies as an appliance repairman for 16 years.  He would then begin to work for Otis Engineering/ Halliburton for over 25 years until his retirement.  After his retirement he worked for Enterprise Rental for over 10 years. His hobbies included watching LSU Baseball, politics and riding motorcycles with his friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son Brian Domingue of St. Martinville, son Blaine Domingue of Lafayette; his grandchildren Rachelle Domingue, Lacie Domingue, Brandon Domingue;  his great-grandchildren Gracie Domingue, Tori Frederick, Alyssa Frederick, Breigh Domingue, Brennan LaPorte, Coliee Domingue, Mya Domingue, Ava Garon; his sisters Shirley(Gerald) Delcambre of New Iberia and  Beverly Viator of Youngsville.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clara and Dudley P. Domingue, his wife Deanna Domingue, his granddaughter Brylan Domingue, his grandson Tance Domingue and his brother in law Rodney Viator.

Upholding the honor of pallbearers will be Brandon Domingue, Brennan Laporte, Shane Delcambre, Scott Viator, Brian Domingue and Blaine Domingue.
