Charles L. Dugan, Sr.
August 10, 1931 — May 16, 2018
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home, 1101 Trotter St. on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 9:00 AM until time of funeral service. Recitation of the Rosary will be prayed on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home.
A native of New Iberia and a resident of Broussard, Charles went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Ochsner Medical Center in Jefferson, LA at 10:56 AM. A veteran of the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict, a member of the VFW Post 1982.He was a Maintenance Worker in the Office Building Industry, worked for Gulf South Research Institute. An avid fisherman, bingo player, bowling and one who enjoyed French Music.
He is survived by four daughters, Coleen Fremin and husband Jerry, Julie Martin and husband Neil, Nathalie Rodriguez and husband Carl and Charlotte Broussard and husband Cory, all of Cade; two sons, Charles Dugan, Jr. of Coteau and Lynn P. Dugan of Stark, FL; brother, Leonox Dugan Jr. of Lafayette; sister, May Louviere of New Iberia; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and many friends who will miss him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty years, Lucy Lopez Dugan; father, Lenox Dugan and mother, Alicia Touchet Dugan.
Pallbearers will be Charles Dugan, Jr, Lynn Dugan, Sr., Zaius Fremin, Gerald Fremin, Jr, Clint Fremin, Jerrod Kern and Trey Dugan.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Landon Fremin, Rylon Fremin, Jacob Fremin, Kay Fremin, Preston Kern, Emily Kern,Faith Kern, Chloe Broussard, Mary Lee, Johnathan Dugan, Nina Boudreaux, Hunter Boudreaux, Cameron Boudreaux, Khole Boudreaux,Brett Boudreaux, Natalie Sonnier and Abigail Dugan.
