Carroll J Boutte, Sr.

New Iberia – Funeral services will be conducted for Carroll J. Boutte, Sr., 90, at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at St. Peters Catholic Church with Fr. William Blanda and Deacon Robert Klingsman officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 22, 2018, from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM and a rosary will be prayed in the funeral home at 12:30 PM followed by the Eulogy.

A native of New Iberia and a resident of Loreauville, Mr. Boutte passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 6:11 AM in a Lafayette hospital.

Mr. Boutte was a Master Carpenter, confident musician and expert artist. He played badminton with the Iberia Parish Senior Olympics. He taught art to senior groups and anyone who requested his help in learning.

He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Gladys Stevens Boutte; his son, Carroll J. Boutte, Jr. and his wife Gloria Trautman Boutte all of New Iberia; his daughters, Jeannie Boutte Lemaire and her husband Chris Lemaire of Kilgore, TX, Bonnie Boutte Pelous and her husband Curtis Pelous of Loreauville and Helen Boutte Thibodeaux and her husband Hank W. Thibodeaux of Lafayette; his brother, Elton “Red” Boutte and his wife Gloria Holloman Boutte; his sister, Daisy Boutte Connell all of New Iberia; 8 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 4 step great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, Kenneth J. Boutte; his great grandson, Phillip Martin “PJ” Richard, Jr.; his parents, Sydney Paul Boutte, Sr. and Daisey Broussard Boutte; 8 brothers and 2 sisters.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Carroll J. Boutte, III, Christopher Lemaire, Chad Lemaire, Joey Landry, Jr., Phillip Landry and his great grandson, David “DJ” Richard.

He will be sadly missed by all.
