Helen Trahan

Abbeville – A private ceremony was held for Mrs. Helen Jane Trahan, 80 who passed away at 2:05PM on Friday June 1 st, 2018 at Abbeville General Medical Center.

A native and resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Trahan was an educator in Vermillion Parish for over 35 years, having taught at Herod Elementary. She also served on the state level as head of curriculum.

She is survived by two sons; Randall Trahan and Michael Trahan; three grandchildren, Samantha Trahan, Ashley Trahan, Brannon Trahan; six great-grandchildren, Julien Broussard, Scarlette Richard, Grayson Richard, Seth Richard, Brianna Richard, and Kamryn Jane Trahan; one brother Denray Trahan.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Elson Trahan; her parents, Saul and Pearly Trahan; a daughter in law, Myong Ae Trahan; a brother, John Ben Trahan.
