New Iberia—Funeral Services will be conducted for Marjorie P. Landry on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 2:00 PM at St. Marcellus Catholic Church located at 6100 Avery Island Road with Fr. James Nguyen officiating the services. Interment will follow at Broussard Cemetery located on Migues Rd.

Visitation will be held beginning on Tuesday, June 5, 2016 beginning at 2:00 PM until closing at 9:00 PM at David Funeral Home of New Iberia located at 1101 Trotter Street with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at 8:00 AM until the time of service.

Marjorie P. Landry passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at 5:21 AM at the age 92, at her residence in New Iberia. Lifelong residence of New Iberia, Marjorie was born on February 11, 1926 to Willis and Carmelite Louviere Plattsmier.

Marjorie loved quilting and crocheting as a pastime and was a member of the Krotz Springs Quilters Club and Beribee Quilting Club. She loved cooking, and organizing family affairs. She was also a member of the VFW Post 1982 Ladies Auxiliary.

Marjorie was survived by her two sons; Alvin J. Landry and wife Sharon of New Iberia, Leslie J. Landry of New Iberia, daughter; Marnell Faith L. Lapeyrouse and her husband Jimmy of New Iberia; sister, Ruby Linder of Nederland, TX; step-sisters, Dorothy Solar Dupuy of New Iberia; grandchildren, Richard Landry, Carey Landry, Kellie L. Broussard and husband Chris, Auman J. Landry, Leia Landry, Kevin Hotard and wife Nancy, Denise Trahan and husband Eddie, Corey Hotard; step-grandchildren, Claudette Lapeyrouse, Lisa Brenneman, Greta Adams, Craig Lapeyrouse; sister-in-law, Hazel Dupuy and her special friend Bozo the dog.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Alvin Landry, Leslie Landry, Richard Landry, Carey Landry, Kevin Hotard, Corey Hotard, Auman Landry and Noah Hotard.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Marnell Lapeyrouse, Jimmy Lapeyrouse, Sharon Landry, Lelia Landry, Kellie Broussard, Chris Broussard, and Nancy Hotard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Joseph Landry, her parents, Willis and Carmelite Louviere Plattsmier; son, Peter Landry; sisters, Pearl Dupuy Guidry, Betty Plattsmier, Marnell Agness Plattsmier; brothers, Donald J. Dupuy, George Plattsmier, Roy Anthony Plattsmier, Paul Plattsmier, Loveless Dupuy, Gaston Dupuy; Marnell Agnes Plattsmier, Audea Solar, Hazel Solar Bailey, step-father, Louis Dupuy; brothers, Stanley Solar, Raymond Dupuy Jodie Landry, Murphy Solar, Jamie Cox and Theresa Solar Fairchild.
