Ida L. Viator
March 21, 1927 — June 28, 2018
Visitation was held at David Funeral Home, 400 Provost St., on Friday, June 29, 2018 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and continued on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 8:00 AM until time of service. Recitation of the Rosary was prayed at the funeral home on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 6:30 PM with the Ladies Rosary Group.
Ida was a native of Delcambre and a resident of Jeanerette. She went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Iberia Medical Center, a bookkeeper for 72 years with Viator Brothers Farm while raising five children. Ida attended Spencer Business College for her skills. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She lived to care for her family.
She is survived by her faithful husband of 72 years, J. C. Viator; children, Lester Viator and wife Mona of New Iberia, Russell Viator and wife Beverly of Jeanerette, Yvonne V. Mannina and husband David of Jeanerette, Douglas Viator and wife Belinda of Jeanerette; Phyllis V. Brumfield and husband Bart of Franklin ; thirteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Egine LeBlanc and Olphida Broussard LeBlanc; brother, Osa LeBlanc and sister, Olive Benoit.
Pallbearers will be Cheramie Viator, Jason Mannina, Dusty Viator, Blake Viator, Jesse Brumfield and Austin Thibodeaux
