Jade Richard Viator

Erath – A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Jade Richard Viator, 40, will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. Andre Metrejean officiating.  Interment will follow at Our Lady of Lourdes Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 10:00AM until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 12:00PM.

A native Erath and a resident of Coteau, Mr. Viator died at 7:39AM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Oschner Hospital in New Orleans.  He was known for his work as a painter throughout the community.  Jade loved sports and hanging out with family and friends.

He is survived by his spouse of eight years, Kalli Fremin of Coteau; a son, Knoxx Viator of Coteau; a daughter, Harli-Grace Viator of Coteau; his mother, Helen Benoit Viator of Erath; a sister, Kesha and her husband Francis Touchet, Jr. of Abbeville; a godchild, Maci Viator; and four nephews, Carson Touchet, Austin Touchet, Jean-Paul Touchet, and Jacques Touchet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Richard Viator, paternal grandparents, Percy and Goldie Louviere Viator; and maternal grandparents, Wilson Lloyd and Annie Mae Romero Benoit.

Serving as pallbearers will be Francis Touchet, Jr., Damien Burgess, Kenric “Mushy” Fremin, Coty Romero, Jacob Landry, Trevor Trahan, and Anthony Trahan.
