Jane Leline Boudreaux Gerard

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jane Leline Gerard, 86 will be at 10:00AM Saturday August 18, 2018 in St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville, With Father Jason Mouton officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Anne Mausoleum.

Visitation will be Friday August 17, 2018 at David Funeral Home of Lafayette, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a recitation of the rosary at 7:00pm . Visitation will resume Saturday from 8:00AM until time of service.

Leline was born April 11, 1932 in Youngsville and passed away August 14, 2018 at her residence in Youngsville. She retired from Lafayette Parish School Board after serving as a cook at Ovey Comeaux High School. She also worked at Lafayette Guest House Nursing Home for many years. She cherished times spent with her family and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting and word puzzles. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother she is survived by three sons, Ronald Gerard and wife Rhonda, Steve Gerard and wife Lorraine and Eddie Gerard and wife Jodi; one brother Roy Boudreaux and his wife Jeanette; four granddaughters , Sara Gerard, Jessica Gerard, Brandy Gerard and Britni Gerard; one grandson Dylan Gerard; two step grandchildren Landon and Trae Fitzgerald; two great-grandchildren, Preston and Juliana Salas; five step great-grandchildren, Eli and Rosie Fitzgerald, Bryrlee, Asher and Briggs Fitzgerald; Godchild Angela Gerard Luman.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norris Gerard; one brother Earl John Boudreaux; two sisters, Bernice and her husband Willis Gerard, Hazel and her husband Wilson Pellerin; her parents Paul and Ozite Boudreaux.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Steve, Ronald, Eddie, John Lee, Patrick and Dylan Gerard. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Roy Boudreaux, Trae, Landon Fitzgerald.

The family wishes to express thankful gratitude to her “Golden Girls” , Shawnette Boudreaux, Jamie Bryant and Lorraine Gerard for the excellent care and Love they gave in the last two years. Also, sincerest appreciation to Hospice of Acadiana for the special attention and care shown to her this last month of palliative care.
