Rodney Louviere Sr.

New Iberia – A Graveside service will be held for Mr. Rodney Louviere Sr., at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Holy Family Cemetery Chapel. Interment will follow the service at Holy Family Mausoleum.
Mr. Rodney was a lifelong resident of New Iberia and he passed away at 3:08 PM on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Lafayette General Hospital. In his younger years he was employed with the New Iberia City Police Department as a Motorcycle Officer and served in the Louisiana National Guard. He was employed with South Central Bell/ AT&T for 38 years. His loves in life were his family, the Saints, LSU Football, and ham sandwiches. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mrs. Wanda Doyle Louviere of New Iberia; his daughter Regina Louviere of New Iberia, daughter Kimberly Guthrie and her husband Robbie of New Iberia, daughter Crystal Landry and husband Blake of Youngsville; son, Rodney Louviere Jr. and wife Morgan of Lafayette; he was a proud grandfather of 6 boys, Collyn Guthrie, Cortlyn Guthrie, Grayson Guthrie, Kale Landry, Maddox Landry and Rodney Louviere III “Tripp.”
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Oliver Louviere and Mrs. Verna Richard Louviere.
Upholding the honor of pallbearers will be Blake Landry, Robbie Guthrie, Collyn Guthrie, Tommy Thompson, John Aldridge and Cortlyn Guthrie, and Caden Thompson.
