Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at David Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until time of Celebration Service.
Eddie went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 9:18 PM at Belle Teche Nursing Facility. A native and resident of New Iberia, he was an E-7, Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, served in the Moroccan War and was a Service Motor Pool Supervisor for 20 years before his retirement. During most of his life, he enjoyed drawing cartoon characters, fishing and found solitude in mowing the grass.
He is survived by his daughter, Cherie Romero Gay of New Iberia; son, Robert E. Romero of New Orleans; grandchildren, Linda Thibodeaux and husband Beau, Capri Gay and husband Quentin Louviere, Blake Romero, Brandon Domingue and his wife, Krystal; great-grandchildren,
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Abigail Romero, parents, Aristille Romero and Cecile Louviere Romero; brother, Leonard Romero; granddaughter, Brylan Domingue.
