Lafayette- Memorial services for Leta M. Benton, will be held Saturday September 29, 2018 at 10:00 AM in David Funeral Home, with Father Rex Broussard officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 9:30 AM until time of services.
Leta Marie Benton, 84, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 in Clute, Tx. Leta was born Aug. 6, 1934 in Lafayette Louisiana to Nicholas and Cypria Pellerin.
Leta Marie was employed at Texas Instruments for 20 years and loved horse racing. She was known for her crawfish etouffee, chicken gumbo and cajun cuisine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; Wallace Benton, sisters; Rose Menard, Bertha Guidry, brothers; Lovelace Pellerin, Paul Pellerin, two great granddaughters; Chastity Marie Schaefer, Brittany Nicole Tumlinson and son-in-law Wayne Reininger. Survivors include her daughter; Gail Marie Reininger of Angleton, son; Tommy Benton and wife, Sondra of Angleton, brother; Dalton Pellerin and wife, Shirley of Louisiana, sister; Bernice Breaux of Louisiana, grandchildren; Kenneth Reininger and wife, Christi of Angleton, Tiffany Vollbaum and husband, Cody of Danbury, Amanda Tumlinson and Bradley of Angleton, Nathan Arnold and wife, Lori of Angleton, Mike Cameron and Tamera of LaMarque, 12 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews.
