Henry Francis Langlinais

Lafayette- A mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Henry F. Langlinais, 97, will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Broussard, with Fr. Michael Delcambre officiating. Interment will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be at David Funeral Home of Lafayette beginning Wednesday September 26, 2018 from 11:00AM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Thursday September 27, at 8:00AM until time of service. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 7:00PM.
A native and lifelong resident of Youngsville, Mr. Henry was a member of the Broussard Larriviere Trahan Post 9210 Youngsville for the past 40 years, where he once served as Post Commander. He served with the US Army beginning in June 1944 and in the European Theater with Co E, 11th Infantry from January 1945 until August 1945.  Mr. Henry was awarded the Campaign Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe in the 2nd wave of the Battle of the Bulge and was a awarded the Bronze Star. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mr. Langlinais is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceeded in death by his wife of 65 years, Wilma Broussard Langlinais; parents, Guillaume and Blanche Savoy Langlinais; brothers, Claude Langlinais and Ned Langlinais; sisters Evelyn LeBlanc and Doris Constantine.
Serving as pallbearers will be Shelby Hutchinson, Randy Hutchinson, Ted Richard, George Villagomez, Craig Constantine and Chris Fages. Honorary pallbearers will be Kermit Constantine, Russell Constantine, Raymond Comeaux, Seth Hutchinson, and George Larrivierre.The family wishes to thank Carpenter House of Lafayette.
