Jeanerette – A Memorial Service will be conducted for Barbara D. Stansbury, 69, on Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 3:00 PM in the David Funeral Home Chapel.A gathering of the family and friends will be from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.Barbara Gale Duplantis Stansbury, a native of Abbeville and a life long resident of Jeanerette, she went home to be with the Lord on October 1, 2018 at 8:35 PM at The Heart Hospital of Lafayette. She was a loving mother and grandmother who loved to cook and enjoyed reading cookbooks for hours. She was an LPN at Maison Teche Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility for 15 years.She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gerald Stansbury, Sr. of Jeanerette; three daughters, Ann Boudreaux, Crystal Sullivan and Amy Stansbury; one son, Gerald Stansbury, Jr; two brothers, Eddie and Mark Duplantis; one sister, Sherry Webster; eleven grandchildren, Alaina Comeaux, Jonah Cole, Lilli Cole, Evey Cole, Joshua Cole, Jr, Joshua Boudreaux, Mason Boudreaux, Tristan LeBlanc, Holden LeBlanc, Bella LeBlanc and Cullen Stansbury.She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Duplantis, Sr; mother, Louise Smith; step-father, Jeff Smith, brother, Clifford Duplantis, Jr; nephew, Jack Louviere.Friends and family are invited to sign the guestbook and/or send condolences to: www.davidfuneralhome.orgDavid Funeral Home, 400 Provost St is in charge of arrangements.
